So, I've trimmed Jackson's hair many-a-time. But it's usually, just around the ears and a little bit in the back because that part grows so fast.
And yes, I realize, he doesn't have much hair and he'd be just fine to never have had his hair cut, probably until he's 2.
But, I do like it once it's trimmed and it's kind of fun for me to do it. It's like my version of doing his hair. I'm excited for someday when I have a girl and can go to town with braids and ponytails galore!
However. Today, I was inspired by a pin on pinterest that was giving tips on cutting boys' hair, so I tried a little bit. I got the high chair set up so I could reach his hair line and then gave him some whipped cream as a distraction. I trimmed along the edge under his ear and neckline and then tried to blend through the top. It's hard to tell how much I cut off, but it was way more than I've ever done. And of course, I don't have a great before and after but here's some in between shots.
Not too bad, right? I'm hoping to get the hang of this so I don't have to pay for his hair cuts as he gets older.
P.S., You can barely tell, but on that last picture you can kind of see his bruise on his forehead. Yesterday, he fell off the bottom front porch step and his head caught his fall on the concrete. It was horrible. I saw the whole thing happen and was just out of reach. Of course, he barely cried and it looks a lot better than I expected this morning.
