Confession of Habits

So, while I was doing stuff around the house this morning, I became very aware of some bad habits I have and I feel like I should confess these, so this is the post of Bad Habits and Good Habits.

Top 3 Bad Habits

1. Leaving my clothes in random places- I layer up in the morning because I'm always colder in the morning and then by the time I get home in the afternoon, I'm always hot- so I tend to de-layer right as I get in the door. Which means I have jackets, sweaters, and shoes everywhere in my house. Underneath the coffee table, on the staircase, next to the computer chair. It's pretty impressive. When my closet starts looking emptier, I decide to gather my clothes from all over the place. Today was one of those days.

2. Biting my nails-
I have had this bad habit for years and years, because of this, my hands look like a 5 year olds. Whenever I visit my dad, he still to this day, smacks my hands when I pull them up to bite my nails. It's kind of funny. I'll go on random spurts when I won't bite them for like 2 months but then I'll have a stressful assignment or watch an intense movie and it's all downhill.

3. Popping zits-
Sorry if this grosses y'all out, but I think it's rather enjoyable. Anytime I see a zit coming to life on my face or my husbands, I attack it like a banchee. Leo used to think it was so painful, but now he is used to me poking at his face. Poor hubby. Hey, I put it under "BAD" habit, I'm not that proud of it.

Top 3 Good Habits

1. Dishes- I'm pretty good at staying on top of dishes. A dishwasher makes this pretty easy. Plus, it's rather satisfying to have clean counters.

2. Taking care of my stuff when I walk in the door- This might sound weird, but when I walk in, I put my backpack down, my purse on the hook, and my keys/cellphone on the shelf by the door. The reason I have discovered this being so useful is because we could put this under Leo's "bad" habit list. I love him dearly, but life would be a lot easier for him if he would take things out of his pockets and put them on the shelf. Otherwise they wind up in some weird spots.

3. Moisturizing my face- I used to not be good at this, but with the dry Utah air, I moisturize everyday and if I ever forget, it feels like my face can't move as well.

I have to tell y'all my current obsession for music. So, everyone needs to download Regina Spektor's new album, plus her song- Us, off the soundtrack- 500 Days of Summer. It's so good. Specifically the songs- Eet, Blue Lips, Folding Chair, Two Birds, and Genius of the Year.

The stress of Wicked

Soo.. this Christmas, my dad, my sisters and I are going to New York for the first time and we're stoked! Well, I didn't know Wicked but I knew I wanted to see it so I've been rather diligent in making sure that was the Broadway musical we would see. I've become rather obsessed with all things Wicked, Leo's getting used to it... sort of. My job for the trip, of course, was then to get these Wicked tickets. Today I was on Ticket master going to get the tickets and I was flipping back between Ebay and Ticket master. Ticket master was cheaper so I decided to just do it and buy them. Wellllll, when my confirmation page pulled up...

::: dun dun dun :::

Instead of it saying 4 tix booked for Sun. Dec. 27, it said Sun. SEPTEMBER 27th.... yeah I know. Sweet niblets, I flipped out. I started bawling and yelled at Leo to come fix it! He found the customer service number and got on the phone, while I ran around trying not to hyperventilate. I thought, there is noo way they would switch the tix or refund my money! But lo and behold, my sweet husband talked to them and they switched it to the correct date and we even got better seats.

So, basically all is well. But, it could've not been well. So props to Ticketmaster for being ever so kind.

Many moons..

Alright, so its been many moons since I've blogged, but I've been pretty busy. Not really, my life is a bore. But I figured I needed an excuse for my lack of blogging. I got the craving for a good blog post because one of my classes is a technology class and I had to make a blog for it. That blog is pretty funny too. I have to post about what I've learned in class and so far we've learned about making a website and other things of a technological nature. So yeah, good stuff.

What has happened in the past 3 months. I'll tell you.

Summer happened. So you think you can dance ended just grandly, with Jeanine winning, my heart sung that night I was so happy. We went on a vacation to Tejas, as usual. Then we came home and worked and played. School started a couple weeks ago and so now I am back to being a student.

My classes really are enjoyable and my major consists of all girls, the teachers are a bunch of adorable moms and basically every class is fun. One class is a music class and I have to.... nay. I have the privilege of recording myself singing My Country, tis of Thee. Yes, I know, you wish you could your hands on such a piece of goodness, but it is hidden until the next time I have to record myself.

What else...

Leo and I have been playing tennis quite a bit lately, at least once every weekend for the past month or so. I get so excited to play and I'm usually pretty happy throughout the first couple games, even if I'm not winning and then by the 6th game or so, if I'm not winning- it turns into such a silently tense game. I always try to laugh it off but inside, I'm reeling (word?), eh fit the moment. The worst part is that he doesn't even try annnnd he knows how to hit to places I can't get to. I apparently only know how to hit it right back to him, so while he stands there, I am booking it from side to side trying to reach the ball. All in all (I love that phrase, that was my go-to phrase for the times I was stumped on how to begin a conclusion)... all in all, I still make sure we wake up early enough to get a court, so I must still love it.

Hopefully, I'll keep up on this, but resist judging if I don't.
