Jackson did come eventually!
Lol, I promise I did deliver my little boy, Jackson. But, life as a new mama has limited my free time for blogging. He is a beautiful healthy strong boy with some serious pipes on him. Some day, I'll jot down his birth story and update y'all on our day to day dealings. But for now, our goals include finding time to eat, maybe shower and get dressed. Makeup and hair, eh... luckily for Jackson, his eyesight is still blurry so I just tell him that his mama is pretty and hopefully he believes me. Leo is a wonderful dad. He is so patient with me, as I ask him to fetch me a glass of water or a burp cloth or the boppy, and very patient with the crying, which is not always the case with new dads. I'm very lucky to have him.

Oy ee vay.
Still preggers. No sign of him coming. My mom is flying out tomorrow night. Maybe he is just waiting for his grandma to get here. Either way, I am going to go walk in the rain until I feel some kind of discomfort, maybe a contraction?... I bought an exercise ball yesterday and bounced on it for like 2 hrs last night, watching Wipeout, The Office, Parks and Recreation, etc. Leo thought it was the funniest thing watching his wife bounce on the ball.
If he doesn't come, I go to the hospital Monday night and they'll induce me Tuesday morning. That will put me 8 days overdue. Boo.

Suggestions?
So... anyone got any good ideas about going into labor? My sister said galloping, curb walking (one foot on the curb and one on the street), and the exercise ball should help. I did some curb walking, which, p.s.- looks super cool. I also galloped around the house, which, p.p.s.- looks even cooler, but at least Leo was the only witness. I've decided it's not the actual galloping that helps, it's the laughter that accompanies. And if that's the case, then I'm just going to watch as much Ellen as possible. Have y'all watched her lately? She's really funny.
Tomorrow, I think I'm going to do a couple laps around the neighborhood and see if anything happens. And by laps, I mean waddle slowly. If I walk too quickly, it tends to make bladder control more difficult. Yep, I'm just laying it all out there. No shame.
Y'all are probably really ready for me to have this kid, so I will stop sharing so much information.

Dear future child of mine.
Today is your due date. You are obviously comfortable in your situation, which is fine. I still love you no matter what. Plus, if it was up to me, I wouldn't have you until Wednesday or Thursday, so if you would like to wait until then, go right ahead. The main person that suffers is Leo. My grumpiness has exceeded its usual level lately. But, if you do decide to come today, just a warning- we got a couple inches of snow today, so it's a little cold. Don't worry though, I have lots of fuzzy blankets and fleece jammies for you.
P.s. I love you and I'm excited to meet you. If you can choose, be nice and chubby because chubby babies are the best!

French Toast
I made a beautiful breakfast of french toast today. I've never made it before. My mom always makes it for me because she makes it sooo good. So, I decided I should try to learn myself. I put vanilla and cinnamon sugar in the egg mix and it was awesome. Leo made some yummy bacon to contribute. The smoke alarm only went off twice... lol. I've had it go off before when I cooked but I was by myself and the second I opened the door, it turned off. Of course, when Leo's around, it went for a long time, so I was running around the house opening windows, swinging doors. I think Leo got nervous thinking of his wife becoming a mom and cooking like a crazy person. I kept laughing about it, but he kind of smiled like, "Oh no, my wife has officially become a frazzled mom."
