Sorry Leo.

So, when Leo got home last night, I told him about the stinky old man and of course, my saint of a husband, felt bad for the stinky old man. Darn him.

I spent a lot of today downloading music, but not just any music. 80's music. I got like the 20 best 80's songs ever! I also got tons of 90's music. Let me just throw some out there for y'all.

Heart of Glass... Sweet Dreams... I love Rock and Roll... Love Shack... I mean, this is good stuff, right?

Some others include: anything Ace of Base, One Week (Barenaked Ladies)- which I must say, I was very proud of myself because I remembered most of those lyrics. But, I am pretty good at learning lyrics, so there ya go. Oh! I got that Macy Gray song- I try to say goodbye and I choke...

I've been rocking out all day to my super cool playlist and cleaning my house. I scrubbed my kitchen sink. Have you done that recently? It's pretty nasty, or maybe that's just my sink. I'm trying really hard to keep up on my house so if this kid ever decides to come, I won't feel stressed about leaving it.

Alright, now I'm going to go listen to my Wicked soundtrack and pretend I sound as good as Idina and Kristen. Yes, we're on a first name basis.

2 things I learned today.

1. Old people need to bathe more.
I was at the post office and the really old guy in front of me smelled so bad like pee, I had to breathe through my mouth. I could tell he wanted to talk to me, but every time he turned around, I pretended to read a greeting card. When it was finally his turn, he asked the guy for an ashtray so he could smoke. He was dead serious. Ugh, I don't do well with old people. And it's like his smell was contagious. I can't get it off of me.

2. IKEA does not induce labor.
I thought if I went to IKEA today and walked through the whole thing, I might go into labor. Alas, it didn't happen. But I did get a really cute soccer ball toy and a little set of blocks. I wanted to buy everything in the kids dept, including a train set, a kids tent, and an easel. But I resisted. However, it's possible I might have come home with their cinnamon rolls. Come on, you can't go to IKEA without getting their cinnamon rolls.

New discovery.

So, Leo and I discovered a very interesting show on TV. Not having cable means we have to get creative with the shows we enjoy. This one is on the Discovery Channel and it's called Swamp People. It's in Louisiana and it follows several "gator hunters". Once you get past the disgusting-ness of how they kill the alligators (requires a shot on top of their head), it is so interesting! The hardest part is understanding the people talk... there are some serious cajun accents going on, but we love it. We kept cheering on this one guy who was trying to get his first chance at being the one to shoot, which sounds so creepy as I typed that sentence. But you would've cheered for Willie too if you'd been watching with us! There's also another guy (Bruce) who only wears cut-off overalls and I mean, that's the only thing on his body (which makes me worry about chafing...) But he's also awesome. One day he didn't catch any gators, so he started looking for bull frogs for dinner that night! And the craziest part is that all of these people have wives! I could not handle the smell. I finally saw one wife complain and the guy put a little bleach in his bath... lol. That's never a good sign when you have to bleach yourself.

I'm lazy...

Can I just tell you everything I've done so far today? Ok. I will.

I woke up at 4:30 am- wide awake, could not fall back asleep. So I went downstairs, looked at Etsy stuff for an hour, had some hot chocolate and toast, and then attempted to fall back asleep. It must have happened at some point, because the next thing I know, I woke up and the clock said 9:50 am.

I then proceeded to do a load of baby laundry (that's productive, right?). I again wasted at least an hour on the computer looking at blogs, different clothing websites, craigslist and then made myself a baked potato for lunch.

Afterwards I found myself watching soap operas. Yep. Soap operas. The worst part is I even cried at one of them because someone's child died after being hit by a car but then the parents had to decide if they were going to give his kidney to another child who just got cancer. But I gathered that the 2 moms have hated each other for a long time, so it was quite the decision. Mostly I was impressed by their crying abilities. That was a lot of crying and at one point, a pretty good slap across the face. Don't worry, the girl with cancer got the kidney. Feel good moment had by all.

I did shower at some point.

And around 3 I went to the grocery store to get more cereal (You have to understand, this is one of the 3 things me and Leo eat. We might need therapy for our cereal addiction.)

Then I watched Selena Gomez on Ellen. It's been awhile since I've seen her and goodness, she is so cute.

Then I caught some of Barbara Streisand on Oprah. She's weird.

Now, I'm laying on my bed typing... staring at my pile of clothes that I need to clean up, but I'd rather just take a nap.

In summary, the next 2 weeks are going to be long.

Prego Update

So, thank goodness. There were no cows in my dream last night.

As for a pregnancy update, I am doing well. I graduated in December so since then, a lot has happened. I went and visited my family in January and then my sister had a baby in February!! His name is Wyatt and he is beautiful. I haven't been able to see him because of my own little guy, but hopefully I'll get to see him in June, which is still forever away.

So this is him at 2 days old. My dad is holding him here.

I think he is 5 weeks old in this picture. He's chunkin up!

This was his photo shoot. I think he was 4 weeks old. The pictures they got from this were gorgeous.
I could post pictures of him for days, but most of them come from facebook and they don't like to upload very easily.

So, yes. That is my sweet nephew. He is the only grandchild on my side, but not for long!
Our little guy is coming in hopefully 2 weeks. I'm due April 3rd, but the doctor said to just expect going past your due date, which sucks for my comfortability, but its also okay because my mom bought her plane ticket for the 9th.

I worked through February, but I started getting grossly swollen feet and my blood pressure went up, so I stopped working a lot. Now most days, I sit around, try to think of a reason to go drive somewhere, and then keep the house somewhat clean. I also read all of the Harry Potter's (first time!) and the Hunger Games series and then I watched all of the Scrubs seasons. Man, that shows freaking funny.

The nursery is all ready to go. These pictures were taken about a month ago. I have added a glider on the corner and now there's tons of diaper boxes and stuff everywhere. But it is fun and bright.

I also did some onesie projects for awhile

Thats pretty much it though. Just waitin for the little guy to come...

P.S. Go BYU! We got Jimmer fever around here!

Cows? Really?

So, I do realize it has been months since I've posted and yes I'm still pregnant and if you don't count today (I use the countdown to Christmas rule), then I have exactly 2 weeks until my due date. I'll address that in a later post, but I have to get something of a greater importance off my chest.

I had the weirdest dream last night! I know, very important. So, I've worked in retail for 6 years now and I am a very patient person at my job. That is, until the customers don't leave when we're closing. I've been known to get the shakes when there are a large amount of customers sitting in my store at 9 pm. This dilemma has caused me to have nightmares (and I do consider them nightmares) where I am trying to close my store and the customers won't leave. I mean they never leave and they seem to multiply and they end up digging tunnels into the store to try and shop! It's horrible, I tell you, horrible. I yell at them and push them towards the door and nothing, they find their way back in!

Anyway, there is the background to my weird dream last night. If it makes you feel better, I haven't had one of those erratic nightmares in a looong time. So, when I woke up to go pee for the 12th time last night, I sat there thinking for a minute because I'd just had one of those dreams. The one difference was that instead of customers, they were cows and they were in my house. And they kept coming through the back door and no matter what I would do, they wouldn't leave and they multiplied and there were cows everywhere! I would push them, which is funny because cows are surprisingly large and scary in real life, but apparently I was very brave in my dream. Again, when I woke to go pee, I laid there thinking about the never-ending line of cows and why in the world, I would be dreaming about that. I don't have an answer, but I'm gonna blame it on being pregnant, it's my go-to excuse right now.

When I have more time later, I will fix my winter background and I'll update about what I've been doing for the past 3 months.
