10 things you probably didn't know about me.

Or maybe you do, because the only people that read this are my family. But, since this is my journal of sorts, I'm still going to write it. Because, well, wouldn't that just be special if someday my grandchildren read this and think, "I didn't know that about grandma."

1. I like diet coke. To be honest, there wasn't much hope for me. My grandma drinks it, my mom drinks it, my mother in law drinks it... I cannot escape the refreshing burn of a fountain diet coke.

2. I'm a homebody through and through. Not only that, but I'm a self-proclaimed loner. I know how to be social and I do enjoy it once I'm out with friends or whatever. But if it were up to me, I could go through a lot of my life without socializing much. And now that I have Jackson, he's required to come with me, so really, I do always have a buddy.

3. I love a good video game. Now, nothing violent or too complicated. We keep things simple here. But, it's true. I loved video games & computer games when I was younger, too. I would never consider myself a gamer because I don't care or play quite that much. It's one of the ways that Leo and I just relax and laugh. We play a friendly round of Mario Kart or Tetris.

4. I'm a nail biter. Always have been, always will. I have the chubbiest, grubbiest looking 5 year old hands with teeny nails.

5. I don't enjoy conflict. I am a peacemaker by nature. There is an exception to this, though. My poor husband sees the best and worst of me. I am not afraid to speak my mind with him, even when it's unnecessary. Luckily for me, he's extremely patient and we are pretty comfortable talking about our strengths & weaknesses. I'm definitely working on becoming a better wife, but I am by no means anywhere near perfect. I always tell him, it's a good thing that I'm outspoken with him, because it means I'm completely 100% comfortable with him. I don't know if he's comforted by that...

6. I enjoy mediocrity. I have always been fine with being "pretty good". I never had the competitive desire to be the best. Which leads to my next one...

7. I could be athletic if I tried. The two sports I would really enjoy are tennis & volleyball. This doesn't mean I'm naturally coordinated, because basketball or any type of contact sport makes me want to puke. It totally stresses me out thinking about being rough and trying to steal the ball and bleeeeck. I can't even think about it.

8. I like old lady clothes. Not all the time and not everything an old lady would wear. Most specifically, I enjoy a good button up and cardigan. I can't tell you how many cardigans I've purchased in my life.

9. I don't like jewelry. It makes me feel like I'm playing dress up. (I did break down and buy some cute earrings at the Freedom Festival last week and I wore them on Sunday. I was so proud of myself.)

10. I was one boy-crazy child. I cannot even tell you all the boys I had crushes on. Heaven help me if I have boy-crazy daughter someday.
