Why I am so tired today...

So, let's just discuss my last couple days which will also is the reason to why I have a massive diet coke next to me, desperately trying to keep me awake before my next 4 hours of classes...

Last weekend at work, I was told that we were having a big visit at the store, meaning some upper management was coming to tell us the things we do wrong and ignore the things we do right. In order to prepare for this, we had to do some serious cleaning and straightening. So Sunday night, I had to work for a couple hours and make sure the clothes were in the right size order and full and beautiful and tags tucked, etc. Yes, you too could have these skills if you worked retail.

Theeeen, I originally had monday off, but my friend called me and was sick and needed me to cover her shift. So, I go to work from 10-6 on Monday and spend the entire 8 hrs refolding denim, which if I do say so- I rock at folding jeans. So if you have a closet of jeans, I can make them beautiful. I know, impressive.

I also had Tuesday off originally, buuut, because of our new to-do list, I went into work after class and worked 3-midnight. I spent my night refolding the rest of the denim, mopping, and stressing for the visit.

Wednesday (Today) was the big visit day, I had to be at work at 8 am, after not going to sleep until 1 am and then getting up at 645, because apparently corporate people would prefer you to shower... So, yeah I was tired. So Mr. Vice President of company rolls in with some other people and they spend about an hr in the store, and for most of that hr, Mr. VP is on his cellphone not even discussing our store and then they head out. The entire time I was ringing customers so I couldn't even give him my memorized speech of my responsibilities and contributions. So, yeah. No freaking big deal.

Basically, I'm really tired and I have blisters from denim.. not actually.

I know that this was way more than you wanted to know about job and most of you guys are pretty jealous because your life is not this exciting. Off to class. Peace.

I love this time of year

I know most people get so annoyed when it starts to get cold, especially when it happens so early. But I love it- it makes me giddy beyond belief. I love the thought of scarves, sweaters, and most of all- boots. I also love thinking about Christmas coming and the wonderful activities that surround the end of the year holidays. Today for lunch I had a big bowl of chicken noodle soup and tonight, I had hot chocolate n toast. My belly is nice n warm.

Plus, how could I forget about socks. Socks are the best for cold weather. I hate socks during summer- sweaty feet are awful. But, during the fall n winter- socks get you through freezing nights and especially when you have to wake up early in the morning. I have quite the collection of patterned socks and when I was at Target a couple days ago- I saw a bunch of socks that were each under a dollar. I bought most of them.

Anyway, I just thought I'd confess how much I love right now- even though when everyone around me is like "Ugh, there is already snow in the mountains!", I'll usually just say stuff like, "Yeah, that sucks!" that way they don't think I'm crazy, but inside I'm like- "Yes, there is already snow in the mountains!"
