1. Listening to Jackson babble and talk to himself. When he gets in a groove, he's super chatty. One day, I looked in my mirror and saw him pointing out the window and just babbling away. Melted my heart.
2. Over the weekend, Jackson was playing with a plastic hanger. He plays with them all the time and I never would have considered it a danger. I hear him yelp, like a pain yelp that I've only heard once or twice. I turn around to find him with the whole hook in his mouth and it's stuck in his cheeks. I pulled it out and he cried so hard, harder than when he smacked his forehead onto the corner of the couch and had a huuuge bump. The "mom moment" came when he snuggled me so close. I was totally tearing up hearing him cry like that and he just let me hold and rock him and pat his hair.
4. Jackson has figured out how to open cupboards and doors. His new favorite game is to shut the door and then open it back up to play his own version if peek-a-boo. Most of the time he gets his legs stuck behind while he's trying to pry it open. It's pretty funny.
I absolutely love watching him figure things out and learn new skills.
